Summary
This project consisted of the dismantlement of a crude unit along with all associated peripherals as well as the transportation of same from California to Texas. Prior to dismantlement the entire unit was matched and marked using the latest in laser imagery and bar code technology, each section to be removed was tagged using high quality stainless steel laser printed tags embedded with match mark data necessary for re-erection. HVE utilized the latest equipment in the performance of this project, including but not limited to: Cranes of various sizes, telescoping forklifts and WACHS Cutters, which cold cut and bevel pipe simultaneously for future welded reassembly.
Performance History
Phase 1 performance exceeded client expectations. As a result HVE was awarded Phase 2 of the project which is now under way. HVE’s project management team finished the job on time, on budget and with no lost time incidents.
